We routinely receive feedback from our adopters letting us know how they
feel about their experience in dealing with ECMCR and how their newly adopted

Below is some of the feedback we've received:

I can't say enough about Chris, she made this a very easy and wonderful

was very friendly towards me, she sent me pix of the kittens. I have told
everyone I know about ECMCR. We couldn't be happier with the 2 kittens,
Rogan and Ryker. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH CHRIS.

Michael and Barbara from Dagsboro, DE - Adopted Jax, Duffy and Carson
My wife, Barbara, and myself wish to express our wholehearted gratitude
to the ECMCR organization and their entire staff for their service, helpfulness
and personal touch in assisting us through the cat adoption process.
From the initial inquiry through final placement, we could not have
asked for a more dedicated and efficient staff to work with. Thanks again,

Jeanne from Madison, NJ - Adopted Morris
Morris was a courtesy posting from Chris. I located him on the web
site shortly after our young Maine Coon had to be put down. Loved the little
red guy when we heard him purr and saw how playful he was at Chris\' residence.
He strayed onto her property so we have no vetting history.
Probably this was not your normal adoption from ECMCR but it showed us
the care, and understanding of the animal needs that the rescue organization
demonstrates.
The little red guy has the biggest purr we've ever heard and likes to
wake my husband up by sitting on his chest about 7:15 AM. The husband
loves it.

Arthur from Madison, NJ - Adopted Morris
This little guy is a real winner, especially in view of the fact that
he was abandoned and living in the woods. In just two weeks, he was just
about completely comfortable in his new home. For the most part, he is friendly
and affectionate, and he purrs loudly when in the mood. Already he usually
sleeps at the foot of our bed, or on top of one of us, and he just walks
on our sleeping bodies when he feels like it, purring or vocalizing.
He is rapidly getting over his various aliments from his miserable start
and the end of his treatments is in sight. He plays wildly with his toys
and runs full speed through the house to work off much excess energy.
He is still a bit nervous about loud footsteps and strange noises, but
his familiarity with every sound and activity in the house increases daily.
And when in the mood he is already a content lap cat. In just three weeks,
he now sees a roaring fire as a warm place to lie down. He is remarkably
adaptable and a real winner.

The Chapmans from Dover, DE - Adopted Perry aka Marcus
After researching Maine Coons, we knew they were the right type of cat for
our family. We contacted the ECMCR and Vicky was our counselor, and Marcus's
foster Mom. She was EXTREMELY helpful throughout the whole process. We have
never had a cat before, Vicky gave us great advice making the transition
very smooth for all concerned. Marcus (now Perry) has been a great addition
to our family:0)

Nicole from Bush, NY - Adopted Simba
We got the most amazing cat from you guys! He is exactly what his foster
mom described! The adoption process was thorough which I particularly liked
because it means ECMR really cares where their babies are going! We had
a wonderful experience and absolutely adore our new baby! We would highly
recommend your organization to anyone looking for a wonderful, healthy companion!
Thank you for the work you do and for rescuing our baby so he could come
to us!!!

Chris from Hinnen, PA - Adopted Callie
Callie has adapted wonderfully well. She follows me everywhere. She slept
all night with me on the bed. She has found a place to sleep on the living
room couch during the day. She is very nosy and tries to get into everything
but after all she is still a kitten. I think we are a very good match. I
know I am happy and it appears she is too.
Thx for all your help in getting this adoption through. Happy Thanksgiving
On Tuesday, October 18th, 2011
David and Laura from Stroudsburg, PA - Adopted Nellie
We are very happy to welcome Nellie into our home. She is everything she
was said to be, and the adoption process was handled carefully and thoroughly.
Nellie is affectionate and active, and has already proven herself to be
a good mouser! She rules the house, from top to basement.
Thanks to Christine at ECMCR, we have a match!

Michael Bellomo from Morristown, NJ - Adopted Oregano:
What a great experience. It was amazing to see everyone pull together and
make this happen. My cat is happy, healthy, and well-adapted right out of
the box. He is well trained and a complete gentleman. Thanks for the professional
service and great coordination.

Patricia from Dayton, NJ - adopted Petula:
Well it will be 3 weeks this Sunday, 10/09 that I have had this beautiful
cat in my possession. What a gem she is too!!!!! So warm & affectionate
and mild mannered. I couldn't ask for a better cat. I have always wanted
a Maine coon and she is definitely a good representation of one. I love
her dearly and I believe the feeling is mutual with her.
ECMCR was so helpful with the adoption procedure. They have a very obvious
concern for the home the cat is going to as well as the well being of the
cat.
On Wednesday, September 21st, 2011
Amanda from Point Pleasant, NJ - Adopted Jack & Jill now called "Griffin
& Fiona":
After researching Maine Coons, I knew they were the right cats for my family.
I contacted the ECMCR and was assigned a counselor who helped me throughout
the whole process. After being approved for adoption, my counselor helped
me contact the foster parents of the available cats, at which time I spoke
to them individually to see if their foster cats were a good match for us.
I fell in love with my 2 kittens the moment I saw their pictures, but after
speaking to their foster mom it wasn't clear if one of them would be a good
match for kids. And to be sure we would be a good match, she held off on
the adoption until she was sure the kitten would do well in our home and
everyone would be safe. I had all the confidence he would be OK since his
foster mom was looking out for him... and for my family. I'm happy to say
he has been a great addition to our family, and his "sister" as
well. They came into our lives at a time when they needed us, and more importantly,
we needed them. If you're looking for a new family member, contact ECMCR!

Alexandra from Union City, NJ - Adopted Kimba:
We worked with Chris to adopt Kimba and she was great! She kept us updated
with emails and pics of Kimba in the weeks leading up to the adoption. The
whole adoption process was very organized. We love Kimba. He is absolutely
adorable and so well adjusted (which I'm sure has to do with how he was
cared for by Chris prior to him coming to our home).
On Tuesday, July 19th, 2011
Chris from Jackson, NJ - Adopted Barbi and Gibby:
Our experience with ECMCR from the very beginning was great. We dealt with
Christine from the beginning and she made the process very smooth and easy.
This was our first time adopting a pet. We adopted siblings Barbi and Gibby,
now named Anika and Khalil. They have adjusted beautifully to their permanent
home. They are being spoiled rotten by our 3 children and are very happy.
We look forward to having tons of fun with our newest members of our family.
Thanks Christine and ECMCR.

Kathy from Goffstown, NH - Adopted Stitch and Klaw:
We had a great experience with our adoption. Chris was very helpful with
making sure that we chose the right kittens for our family. We were in contact
often which was nice because even though I did not have the kittens yet,
I knew what what was happening with them. I would and have recommended this
rescue to friends and family. We could not be happier with the service that
we received. We truly appreciated everyone's help with transporting the
kittens directly to our house. Thank you for our wonderful kittens "Stitch
and Stretch ".

Bridgitt from Stockton, NJ - Adopted Ozze:
My ECMCR adoption experience was very positive. Thank you for Ozze!! He
is already a part of the family.
On Wednesday, March 9th, 2011
Katie from New York, NY - Adopted Sonic:
We love our new kitty, Sonic. We originally wanted another cat so our other
cat, Lily, would have a play mate. Boy are we glad we did. Lily is so happy
now! All they do is play and chase each other and, of course, nap! We really
couldn't be happier with our kitties. We look forward to coming home at
night to see what Sonic has in store for us... He's so funny! Last night,
he crawled into an empty grocery bag and started rolling all over the floor.
Lily just sat and watched him until his front paw poked through the bag.
The two of them just started playing in and around the bag together. Eventually
the bag was a goner and then the two of them fell asleep on top of the shredded
bag. So cute. So funny to watch! We feel like our family is complete now!
On Monday, January 3rd, 2011
Viki from Tinton Falls, NJ - Adopted Sully and Angelo:
These are well cared for cats and it shows. They're healthy with great loving
temperaments and everyone at ECMCR bent over backwards to get us these cats
(because one of the foster mommas was so far away) and we couldn't be more
pleased with how everything turned out. Not only did the cats integrate
into our house within a week or so, but they play with each other despite
coming from different foster homes!
On Monday, October 25th, 2010
Stephanie from Saugerties, NY - Adopted Willie:
Willie was the first rescue from this adoption. He is the best. He came
to us healthy and happy and continues to thrive. He has an awesome personality
and makes us laugh every day. This organization was great to work with and
I would highly suggest them to anyone looking to adopt a Maine Coon.
On Wednesday, October 13th, 2010
Kristi from Flemington, NJ - Adopted Reece:
We are only 24 hours into our adoption and can't believe how easily Reece
has joined our family. I have never seen a friendlier cat! He even likes
our 3 dogs! We feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful cat.
On Wednesday, August 4th, 2010
Lori from Saddle Brook, NJ - Adopted Telly:
I never did this before the people that I worked with to get this kitten
did a great job. I brought home a kitten that was loved and taken care of
so well the foster family did a great JOB taking care of this kitten. I
brought home a very loving and friendly & clean kitten. I think that is
what we are all looking for when we adopt how well is this kitten or cat
that we bring home how is he or she being taken care of they did a great
job I was very pleased they put a lot of heart and soul into what they do.
God bless them all. Thank you for what you do.

and thrive and ECMCR people are great to work with.
On Monday, October 26th 2009
Karin from Barnstable, MA - Adopted Chica:
I am so appreciative to Chris and all the energy she put into my adoption
of Chica. The many e-mails, and the phone calls she made to me to answer
any of my questions or concerns made the process much easier and informative.
She is a great asset to your organization!!!!
On Monday, October 26th 2009
Richard from Egg Harbor - Adopted Tom & Jerry:
We found the adoption process to be very easy and we were approved in less
than 24 hours versus a number of other shelters we applied to where we never
heard back on approval. The two cats we adopted were exactly as pictured
and as described. They are adorable and we are quite pleased with them.
I would highly recommend this organization for anyone looking at this breed.
