Request to Place Application

ECMCR occasionally takes in Maine Coon cats and Maine Coon Mix cats that are being surrendered by their owner. In order to determine whether ECMCR is able to assist you, please complete our Request To Place Application below.

A representative from East Coast Maine Coon Rescue will contact you about your request to place application once it has been reviewed.

Please be prepared to e-mail three (3) photos of the cat/kitten that you are requesting to place to the ECMCR representative once you are contacted. We suggest a good head shot, a full body shot, and a shot of your choice of the cat/kitten that will showcase the good looks of the Maine Coon.

There is a Request to Place donation of $20.00 to list your cat/kitten as a Courtesy Post on our website (this includes the application processing, the write-up and posting of the cat bio. on our website, and access to the ECMCR Request to Place Manager).

** Please be prepared to make the Request to Place donation via PayPal or by mailing in a check.

** Please note that if you are an animal shelter or 501(c)(3) organization, we are rescue friendly, and we will courtesy post the cat/kitten as a courtesy.

Should your cat/kitten come into ECMCR Foster care, then there is an ECMCR Foster Care donation required of $100. The cat coming into ECMCR Foster care must be fully vetted and tested, and spayed/neutered prior to coming into ECMCR.

ECMCR is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations go to the care of ECMCR cats.
